Virginia Tech Basketball Court Conversion
Basketball court conversion project at an educational facility in Blacksburg, VA
Project Overview
Blacksburg, Virginia. The project focused on preparing the existing court area for a new recreational pavement surface, including the removal of existing basketball goal footings and milling and full-depth reclamation of the designated area.
Following the site preparation, Finley installed a new asphalt surface in multiple lifts to create a refreshed and durable recreational area. The completed work provided a newly reconstructed pavement surface designed to support the court’s continued recreational use.
Project Challenge
The existing basketball court required preparation and removal of select features before the area could be converted to its new recreational use. The work required careful removal, surface preparation, and reconstruction to create a suitable foundation for the new pavement.
Scope of Work
Finley removed the existing basketball goal footings and performed milling and full-depth reclamation of the designated court area. The prepared surface was then reconstructed with new asphalt installed in multiple lifts to create the finished recreational pavement surface.
Project Outcome
The completed work transformed the existing court area with a newly reconstructed asphalt surface, providing a refreshed and durable pavement foundation for its recreational use.
